The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has a brief history because this known as the first educational or examination board of Pakistan. Because before Partition all the educational activities in Province Sindh was handled by the University of Bombay but as soon as separation of Pakistan from India and establishment of the Sindh University in Karachi all examination activities transfer to University of Sindh from University of Bombay. Then later in 1950 The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) was established by the Government of Sindh to separate it from University of Sindh and Handle all Secondary School level student in Whole Sindh before establishment of other Sindh examination boards.
