The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) (Old University of Sindh) is the oldest educational Board of Pakistan, because the University of Sindh was established after independence of Pakistan in year 1947. So before this educational board or before 1947 all the activates of the education level in Sindh was handled by the University of Bombay. The Government of the Punjab make a separate building for the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) in year 1950 and also separate it from the University of Sindh. So since 1950 it is the big responsibility of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) to provide the educational services to all Intermediate and Secondary School level students.

A lot of schools are affiliated by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), it came to know that More than 5812 schools are fully affiliated by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK). Because we know that Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan by its area and population and also the main source of economy. A lot of import and export should be done by the ports located in Karachi. In additional a lot of big projects including the Bahria Town project is under construction which also helps Pakistani economy to increase the value of Rupee in International market.

The education system is damaged badly in karachi due to terrorism, thefts, Murders and Mafia wars in Karachi. Students feel fear to came our from their houses but the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) trying its best to provide the educational services for all male and females in Karachi in this situation. Its the aim of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) to help all students in Karachi in any condition.
