The board of intermediate and secondary Education ,Banu came into being 1990 .BISE Banu bifurcation of BISE Peshawar & and functioning since then according to the NWFP Ordinance /Act 1990 . The board of Banu handle and control of education at least 700 educational institutes in private as well as public sector. The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Banu working under the the kpk board. The board has consisting of the following four Districts and two Agencies.

District Lakki Marwat
District D.I. khan
District Tank
North Waziristan Agency
South Waziristan Agency
The objective of the BISE Banu spread the education in all over the Banu districts and other four districts maintain the board and arranged the papers of BISE Banu. Main functions of the board of intermediate and secondary education hold and conducts SSC and HSSC and Pakistani language,Register /Affiliation Private & Government institution and many other facilities in the district
